Wonderful

The hotel is in a quiet street very close to the taj mahal and convenient to many restaurants. Clean building and extremely nice staff. They knew we were travelling for our honeymoon and spent just one night in Agra. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. We warmly recommend the place, and if we come back to Agra we’ll surely stay again!

I would definitely recommend this place and would like to stay here, again, on my next visit.

Extremely helpful and courteous staff. Rashi at the front office went out of her way to help us not only with a smooth check in, but also guided us well for our city trip and cab booking. The rooms were clean and the linen was very fresh. The bathrooms were spotless. Though we did not use the pool it looked well maintained. Rahul at the pool insisted that we come for a swim. He was a nice chap. Two things that I’d like to mention..the wi-fi was working in every corner of the property. We were amazed that we could work on the hotel wi-fi during our entire stay. Secondly the breakfast spread was quite decent. Overall the stay was quite pleasant.

Very comfortable stay and nice pool

Room was very spacious, comfortable and had a very large and comfy bed! Lots of natural light through the large window. We had some great roomali roti wraps delivered as room service, and enjoyed being able to make teas and coffees in the room with the electric kettle. We also really enjoyed using the outdoor pool, which was a good size and had nice sunloungers. The staff were very accomodating, staying up to check us in at 4am when our night bus came in!

The only drawback was the lack of hot water in the shower - unfortunately it only got tepid at best, and usually was cold.

Good stay but greedy manager.

Good choice of food. Room was good

Heater was not provided and no first aid available. And The manager denied our request to cancel for the second day inspite of sending a request email through booking.com. he just flatly refused to cooperate and wanted to take the money at all costs. That was highly unpleasant and very unprofessional way of dealing with customers. Manager you are Very very very greedy for money. Shame on you.

Agra Visit

The property is approx 1.5 alms from Taj Mahal, Breakfast & Dinner options are excellent. Staff is very polite & helpful.

Few rooms need flooring & mattress upgrading.

Me and my family enjoyed our time thoroughly. We will definitely be staying here again!

I thought the customer service was superb. They offered very detailed advice on train ticket times and prices and offered to purchase some for us. In the end me and my family took an Ola from the hotel to Delhi, which they booked for us. 10/10 customer service, particulalry Vibhu. They were also very compassionate and helpful for my father, who is disabled and in a wheelchair.

Nothing, I enjoyed every moment at the hotel.

I recommend this hotel

Reception staff was friendly and helpful. The GM of the hotel used his personal card and booked train tickets for me, for which i paid later. Restaurant food was delicious, clean and seemed hygienic

A decent hotel, no more no less

The room was spacious, the beds slept well, the airco and wifi worked well. The bathroom was big and good hot water in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was about 25 - 30 minutes walking from the Taj Mahal. The neighbourhood was dusty/dirty as most in india. The indian food was good. The furniture needs renewal.

There is no choice of coffee, only indian coffee which we do not like. There are no coffee/thee spoons. The breakfast (buffet) has mostly local food and almost every day the same. Sometimes in the afternoon there was no hot water.

Location was good

At the end of our stay the hotel staff tried to charge us additional 5 % of "breakfast tax" which luckily I had taken picture of the price list which didnt indicate any additional charges. At the end, after some arguments we didnt pay anything but the incident left sour taste in our mouths.

A Great Place to Stay Near Taj Mahal

Great location close to the East Gate of Taj Mahal. The room is spacious and comfortable enough.

Limited choice of breakfast buffet, and the WiFi was very slow.

Had an amazing stay here, the room really superceded my expectations, lots of facilities, gorgeous bathroom/ shower and the bed was so comfy which is what I needed at the end of a week long your of Rajistan. The restaurant below was sensational too!

Thoroughly recommend the Retreat as a great base for exploring Agra.

Whilst we only stayed one night, we had an excellent experience at the Retreat. All the staff, especially Yogesh, were incredibly attentive and made us feel most welcome. Our room was well appointed and clean, and the bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor pool enormously - it's a good size, very clean and gets sun all day - you can also eat and drink poolside, which is great. The buffet breakfast was pleasant and plentiful, and included a good selection of both western and indian foods.

Not bad but could do better

I liked the pool, the bed was super comfortable and it was clean. The wifi was ok.

The staff at the reception was mean, unhelpful. The hotel restaurant was very expensive for India and at the same time, the food was very bad.
